Rennie, who announced his intent to resign earlier this year, said he plans to stay involved for at least three months to help with marketing and the transition. ![]() The foundation operates through a partnership with the City of Poway and Poway Unified School District. Poway OnStage also presents an Arts in Education Initiative that gives students up-close-and-personal experiences in the arts. The Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation - also known as Poway OnStage - is a 32-year-old nonprofit that presents a series of professional performing arts events including concerts, dance performances, theater productions and comedy at the PCPA. She added, “I have been with the organization for nine years and felt like this was the right time to take the knowledge I have with the organization and really move it in a new focus.” “I look forward to serving our loyal patrons while seeking new and meaningful ways to engage our community in the arts.” ![]() “I am honored and excited to be acting in this new capacity for Poway OnStage,” said O’Keefe, who began on July 1. The latter provided arts experiences to nearly 500,000 students during the pandemic. She also led its annual Taste of Our Towne fundraiser and designed its successful Virtual Field Trip program. She is credited with tripling the number of subscription sales for Poway OnStage. O’Keefe was Poway OnStage’s director of education and community engagement in addition to operations and program manager. A changing of the guard is taking place at Poway OnStage, with Sharlene O’Keefe promoted to executive director following the resignation of Michael Rennie, who has held the post since 2009. ![]()
